she's looking fine and i know you're jealous

Hello!

It's been a while with my "live" posting; mostly there's been pictures... and videos... and combinations of the above.  I wrote the "how to save a life" one just before it was published; that song brings back a lot of memories and I just wanted to get it out there.  Had a good day today, and thought I'd sit down with my youtube music playlist on and write about how I have been doing (in case anyone cared / was wondering).  So, as you know, I've been on study leave, where I chose not to go home but instead stay in London.  This is because I am more distracted at home: I don't see my family that much, and as the years go by, I see them less - I still talk to them a lot on the phone - and so when I do go and see them, we always end up talking a lot, and my mother fills me in on the local gossip.  For a small village, a lot of things happen.  I know I could go and see them for a weekend, but travelling honestly makes me very tired.  I can drive at most for 2 hours before needing to stop and have a rest.  Train journeys make me tired, and also a bit ill.  And it just takes a lot of energy out of me.

I've been studying like a good girl, and also trying to get my life/study balance right.  When I revise, I tend to neglect things like tidying my room, or cooking food, or indeed eating food at all.  I drink a lot of water though.  But I have been having at least 2 meals a day!  I've.... not done all that much though otherwise.

Been keeping in email contact with a couple of friends - I find it hard to keep track of where my phone is most of the day because my books and papers get in the way all the time.  It's just easier to email and I can say a lot more than in a text message.

In my downtime, I've been writing quick blog posts - as you can tell.  Almost no effort goes into them, but they are nice to look at - and scheduling them.  I've been having some very unusual dreams, a couple of which I have written about, and may become blog posts soon.  They are a little bit unsettling - the ones I write about tend to unsettle me a bit.  Quite a few of them have featured studying and/or the material I am covering at the moment.  I also changed the background of this blog, and the main picture (although it is still from the same deviantArt account from previously).  I watch a few episodes of Sailor Moon, and found this A&E program, akin to Junior Doctors, which looks quite interesting.  The boyfriend has also been away, in Nice and Cannes and Monaco and Genova (?) and is back tomorrow, hopefully bearing some sort of calorific gift - I will probably need it, as it will probably substitute a meal sometime in the near future.  I've been trying to read Glamour (Fr), as I've read the UK and US versions, and the way talk about fashion and beauty is very different.  The French obviously is a bit harder: I've not studied it for a while (9 years then I stopped - then it all got forgotten) so I sort of have to work it out by context, and then pick up new words that way.

Hope everyone's been well!
