Sorry lovelies, haven't had the chance to reply to comments/update my blogroll! Will get onto that asap. I'm still reading/catching up on all the lovely updates of your I've been missing out on!

A quick update before I hop into bed! Having been heavily consumed in my busy schedule with Uni creeping upon Week 4 .. ALREADY and part-time work followed by a handful of catching up with friends, birthdays, and the new boy. I'm mentally and physically exhausted once again. Where's that holiday when I need one. Thank god, the Easter Break is just around the corner again. But then too bad it only lasts 1 week.

I hate to be whinging all over again - I need to look for another job :) I just obtained my perfect interview-worthy attire. A sleek, dark navy, small bell sleeved above the knee sheath dress cinched with a matching belt akin to Rouland Mouret (ok fine, no where near that extravagant but with my current budget it passes) I'm still searching high and low for that internship. Not that I've given 110% effort especially in admist the economic crisis, I'm at least trying. And to top it off, my 'wish-list' continues to grow - in contrary to my current income. Bad idea huh?

Yes, that's what I keep telling myself. That the Marchesa inspired, gold trimmed butterfly sleeved mini dress is not a must-have. And the same goes to the Antipodium black zipper mini with customised silver chains that I have trouble getting into...let alone out.

What does everyone think of Flora by GUCCI? I'm stocking up on new perfumes for Winter 09 - my all time fave is still FLOWERBOMB V&R, but I'm loving the new Juicy Couture scent. It's a must have - though the new release is anything but a Winter scent, it's beautiful - so summery, young and oh so fresh. I'm in love.

Aww I love Kate Hudson, some find her annoying however I think she's the cutest thing ever. I fell in love with her personality in that movie - 'how to lose a guy in 10 days'. Sassy, funny, strong-willed, bubbly and unpredictable - wish I could be all that haha. Too cute.

so what, i'm still a rockstar...

N's party was awesome. It was the best turnout for a birthday party that I have seen in a long while. It was much helped by the fact that it was on a Sunday, and that the food was free, as N's parents very kindly paid for all of us.. there must have been 30 people there. It was fancy dress themed... I went as Sailor Mars :D There was a Star Trek Captain, 20's gangsters, Neo, a Hawaiian girl, a 20's flapper, Raoui (is that how you spell it?), a Pink Lady, a fairy, a detective, a Chinese princess, a cowgirl, Zorro.... and those are only the ones I remember. It was such fun, and I hope N had a good time. M and I got her gifts from London Fashion Weekend, a shawl, a Tibet Dreams/Komodo top, chocolates, a Lola and Rose bracelet. And her cake. Lovely. :D I think it might have been from Hummingbird Bakery, I am not entirely sure. It might have been that red velvet one though :D yummy. It was huge and there were 3/4 of it left at the end.


Gossip wise... to make up for my poor entries of late... just about people backstabbing and lying to get ahead of others, when there really is no need... um... friends' dramas, and decisions and indecisions. Learning about my friends slowly. There is a decision that one of my friends needs to make, and I don't want to influence that decision in any way, although I suppose I have expressed views on it in the past. This isn't the kinda thing where you guys can guess where it is. There's got to be some boundaries. This friend needs to make a choice, but not knowing if that choice is the right thing to do. Well, I shall see how it is played out. I wish I knew how to fix it, but I don't know if I want to. I feel like a useless fairy godmother, who watches situations, but can't fix them with her magic wand.


I am fond of this person and people involved in the situation, and it would suck to see them hurt any more... or not hurt, but in emotional... distress? upheaval? A less strong word than that.


Isn't "fond" an odd word? It is. But I can't think of any other word to think of how I feel about this person.


Sorry I've been a bit moody lately.. I think sometimes you just need to wait out my grumpyness and then I'm fine.

this obsession with blazers

So since Uni commenced on Monday, I've been horrified at the state of my wardrobe. Blatantly speaking, not very 'uni-esque'.

I've been wearing bandage singlet dresses in grey and black with black tights and black ballet flats. Toting around a black, flat tote and additional cream, long scarves to polish the look. I haven't been too fussed (not that I'm ever fussed with uni attire, I'm just thankful when my hair is clean) especially with the unpredictable yo-yo weather headed daily, it's been a day of singlets and denim cutoffs and a day of black blazers, tights, minis and plain tees.

Monday lectures are the hardest, 9am... I always sleep in. It's been hell trying to head back to the morning start cycle. With abundant V bottles and my love for mochas and iced coffee keeps me pumped to get through the day.

Yesterday I went on a Mag spree, bought 5 mags to keep me pre-occupied and today I bought all the textbooks I needed for my courses this semester. I'm looking forward to the Zimmermann sale tomorrow. I'm dragging the boy with me since the location is unheard of. Oh Zimmermann, I cannot wait.

I just bought a one-piece leotard the other day in stretch lycra, plain yet highlighted with a low back and a slighlty low-cut neckline. I've been wearing it with high waisted DIY Lee denim cutoffs. I miss Summer, looking back I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked at the beach. I did however try fake tan for a month or so... after the colour faded, I looked like a circus freak. Oh I'm back to snow white again :) it's going to be a long Winter after all.

Have had a good week :) Had lots of teaching, and a lot of time to brush up on some examinations. I'm a bit worried about the OSCE's, in that I wear a necklace, with a jade pendant. I love it, and my parents gave it to me when I turned 18. The premise is that I can't take it off (I have only taken it off once, with blessing)... I actually can't, and I'm not supposed to. The reason is that it is made of soft gold, and the clasp is different to those in Europe.


Made spelt bread at the weekend, with cinnamon and raisins. I really like it, but P doesn't. It's a relation to wheat, but not the same, so he can eat it. We also made chocolate raisins, and he made dhal I think it's called. It was alright :)


It's N's birthday party on Sunday... it should be fun. I hope my costume still fits me. It's pretty, but I bet it looks horrible in comparison to everyone else's :(


I also like mine and R's conversations at Baron's Court on Mondays.. there are lots of places we wish to go and eat, or places we have heard of, or already been. D's blog is one I subscribe to, and there was a post about Cha Cha Moon in Whiteley's.. we must go. It looks lovely. And there's a place called Dans Le Noir, where you eat in the dark, and have blind people serving you. The experience would be fun, but I know I'd miss my mouth and get food all over myself.... And a place in the V&A too.


Sorry this post is a bit mixed up... I am in a lot of pain, due to a situation which happened last week which wasn't that fun... and I think I might have told Rob about it. Anyway. I can't really concentrate. That's why I've missed lots of face time, and been sat at home working a lot and looking through stuff.


I've also started reading the Twilight books.. the first one is so.... CUTE. I KNOW lots of my friends hated the film, but honestly, I am easily impressed but I have never seen a bad film ever. I just stay away from the bad films. The books are easy to read. Alice is my favourite character, as she's pixie like, and very dainty.


Apparently I have dainty hands.


It's London Fashion Weekend tomorrow, yay. I loved it last time.. I hope it's as good this time. It's so convenient, it's being outside the Natural History Museum.
